Are You More Dependent Than You Think?
Uncovering hidden sovereignty risks across cloud, data and AI

Digital sovereignty is often associated with compliance, restriction and control. In reality, the most successful organisations treat it as a design principle that enables innovation rather than limiting it.As organisations become increasingly dependent on cloud platforms, global data ecosystems and AI services, hidden dependencies are becoming an unavoidable feature of the modern digital landscape. Many of these dependencies remain poorly understood, creating potential risks around control, resilience and strategic autonomy. This session examines why sovereignty is becoming an increasingly important consideration in a world where critical capabilities are often delivered through interconnected platforms, services and supply chains. It challenges the idea that sovereignty requires isolation and instead considers how organisations can maintain appropriate levels of control, trust and accountability while continuing to embrace innovation at scale.
